5 Questions with Omar Vidaure

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA

1. How did you get into the technology field?
As a teen, I was always intrigued with organizing information and deriving insights that weren’t obvious. After earning a degree in Biological Science, I realized I preferred working with data and moved into a role focused in SQL development.
2. What’s your favorite part of Community?
I enjoy interacting with community members from all around the world. Each member brings a unique perspective with questions that can help, or have helped, me grow as an Analytics Engineer.
3. What’s your favorite topic to write about?
I love to write about creating unconventional Strategy solutions to real world business problems. Whether it’s responding to questions on the Strategy Community or “how to” write-ups on my Strategy focused blog, knowledge sharing keeps me motivated to be an active community member.
4. Name one feature you would like to add to Community.
It would be interesting to add a live demo environment of Strategy to the Community. This would allow community members to create and share real examples of questions or solutions and would also create an additional element of interactivity to the Strategy Community.
5. Why Strategy (as a product)?
The Strategy product suite continues to grow with new features to empower Developers, Analysts, and end-users alike. Intuitive interfaces and products like Library, a robust API, and HyperIntelligence keep me excited about the future of enterprise analytics.
