KB16590: How to use URL API to directly export a report to plaintext in MicroStrategy Web and Web Universal.

The following is an example of a URL that will directly export a report to plaintext in Strategy Web Universal :
 
http://servername/MicroStrategy/servlet/mstrWeb?Server=servername&Project=MicroStrategy+Tutorial&Port=0&evt=3012&reportViewMode=1&exportFormatGrids=plaintext&reportID=895E049148E9D39A8E9DC1B31AEA926E&exportPlaintextDelimiter=1
The following are parameters that are required in the URL:
 

• Server=(YourServerName)
• Project=(YourProjectName)
• evt=3012
• reportViewMode=1
• exportFormatGrids=plaintext
• reportID=(YourReportGUID)

An optional parameter is exportPlaintextDelimiter. This will set the delimiter type for the export to plaintext event. When left out, the export event will default the Delimiter to 1, which is coma. The other options are noted below.
 

• exportPlaintextDelimiter=1 (commas)
• exportPlaintextDelimiter=2 (tabs)
• exportPlaintextDelimiter=3 (semicolons)
• exportPlaintextDelimiter=4 (spaces)
