Follow the steps below to delete an OLAP cube database instance from Strategy Developer

  • This will return a list of reports that use that OLAP cube.
  • Delete these reports and then reattempt to remove the cube from the OLAP Cube Catalog.
  • Uncheck the database instance from Project Configuration > Database Instances > OLAP Cube to remove it.
  • In the Administration menu, go to Projects and then select to 'Delete unused managed objects'. It is important to backup the metadata before performing this final step.
