KB35679: "Object variable or With block variable not set" error message appears in DELog when exceuting a personalized page-by (PPE) dynamic subscription service in MicroStrategy Narrowcast 9.0.x.

• Strategy

SYMPTOM:
When the user executes a personalized page-by (PPE) dynamic subscription service, the execution fails and the user can find a similar error message below in DElog:

Service ID Execution ID Segment ID Information Source ID received results for Information Object with error message: Object variable or With block variable not set:436:

CAUSE:
One possible cause is the content information object does not have the subscription ID in the page-by and is set to use automatic segmentation. See the screenshot below:

ACTION:
If the content information object does not have the subscription ID in the page by then it should not be set as Automatic Segmentation. Please refer to the technical note below on how to use automatic segmentation:

To resolve the issue, follow steps below:

Edit the Content Information object.
Select Advanced Options.

Go to "Report execution" tab and select "Do not segment this information object"
