Before Export:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  • Create a report with multiple levels and several metrics. Enable Custom Subtotal (#0 total) to some levels but not all. (By position Rows: All Subtotals)

  • Create a document with the report as a dataset.
  • Execute on Web --> Subtotal appears on top of each group with no extra line as shown in "Before Export."
  • Export to Excel --> Subtotal appears at the bottom of each group with an extra blank row as shown on "After Export."

CAUSE:

This is a known issue with Strategy 9.x.

ACTION:

Strategy will continue to investigate and post updates as soon as they are available.

WORKAROUND:

Disable Outline mode in the report prior to creating a Report Services document with it.
