Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
SYMPTOM:
When performing Integrity manager test and validation on reports/documents using a RandBetween function, the Integrity manager test may report data failure between the base and target reports even though the SQL is unchanged.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. In Strategy tutorial project, Create a metric M1 with RandBetween function.
2. Create a report with the Year, Revenue and the RandBetween metric.
3. Migrate report to a different environment.
4. Run Integrity Manager test for these reports against both environments.
5. Integrity test may report data failure between the base and target reports, even though both report sqls are the same.
CAUSE:
This is an expected behavior. If the Randbetween function is used to modify multiple rows of values on a report/document, it will always generate a different random number that falls between the two specified values at every execution.
ACTION:
Integrity manager will report data failure between base and target reports for report/document/dossier with RandBetween function during integrity manager test and validation. However, this failure can be ignored if the user confirms it's caused by the RandBetween function.
