"DSSSQLEngine::The template in report is empty, or the objects on template can not be resolved" report execution error in MicroStrategy Developer 9.3.0 Hotfix 2 when schema was updated by LDAP user using Command Manager.

SYMPTOM:

Report execution fails with the following error message when "UpdateSchema" was performed by LDAP user using Command Manager, even though Command manager reports that it completed succesfully.


DSSSQLEngine:converting Report :The template in report is empty, or the objects on template can not be resolved. Please check report definition"

Steps to reproduce using the Strategy Tutorial Project:

1) Create a new attribute and in this example " Cust city ".

2) Log in to Command manager using LDAP user credentials and Update the Schema , by executing " UPDATE SCHEMA FOR PROJECT "Strategy Tutorial";

3) Create a new report using the attribute "Cust City" created in step 1 and execute the report. It fails with the below error in Developer and Web.

CAUSE:
This is a known issue in Strategy 9.3.0 HF2.

ACTION:
Contact Strategy Technical Support for an update on this issue.
