Community Admin

• Strategy

In Strategy Mobile 9.4.x and 10.x, it  is possible to create documents for devices with different screen sizes by using multiple views. The table below is intended to serve as a quick guideline reference on how to create and Manage Mobile Views.
Note: For additional information, consult the Strategy Product Manual: Strategy Mobile Design and Administration Guide PDF.

Steps to Execute

Notes

Additional Information

Create

1. Open the document in design or editable mode.

2. From the Tools menu, select Manage views.

3. Click on the existing view Duplicate icon.

4. Rename the new view, e.g. "Portrait View".

5. Change the resolution of the view to be equivalent to the desired orientation of the mobile device.

6. Click on OK.

Documents can contain multiple layouts. Once a Mobile View is created, it is automatically available to every layout in the document.

Delete

1. Open the document in design or editable mode.

2. From the Tools menu, select Manage views.

3. To delete an existing Mobile View, click on the Delete icon of the referred view.

4. Click on OK.

Deleting a view will not delete the objects which are only visible in that view, its objects will remain hidden in all document views.

Current View

1. Open the document in design or editable mode.

2. From the Tools menu, select Manage Views.

3. Under the Current View column, select the desired Mobile View.

4. Click on OK.

In mobile devices, the document is automatically displayed using the Mobile View that most closely matches the height and width (resolution) of the device’s screen. If more than one is found, the first listed in the Manage Views Editor is used, if none is found, the Mobile View whose width closely matches is used.
