Description
Strategy Workstation 2020 now allows you to create and design documents. In the past, you could only create and design documents in Strategy Web. There are some features that are not available in Document Authoring for Workstation, that are only available in Document Authoring for Strategy Web.
The following features are not available in Document Authoring for Workstation 2020:
- In editable and presentation modes, you cannot drill, hyperlink, linked drill, or link in attribute forms. You can still define a linked drill, but you cannot click the link to open another report or document.
- You cannot share documents using the following options:
- Add to History List
- Create Personal View
- Send Now
- Subscribe to
- Page Setup
- Print
- You can only export documents to PDF or Excel.
- Flash and interactive modes are not supported.
- All default user preferences are used, since there is no location within Workstation to modify user preferences.
- Accessibility is not supported.
- Data import is not fully functional. To import data, you must create a stand-alone dataset and then add it to your document.
- To add a document to Library, right-click it and choose Share > Get Link
- You must have the Web User, Web Run Document, and Web Document Design privileges to use Document Authoring. Other document-related privileges for Web users are also enforced.
