Mandatory Global Patch for customers who have downloaded and installed MicroStrategy 2019 Update 3 prior to 09/20/2019

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.

DESCRIPTION:

Symptom Error Message: Failed to execute with Error "Object with ID '#######' and type 12 (Attribute) is not found in metadata. It may have been deleted. Security check failed".

SYSTEMS AFFECTED:

This Global Patch to the Intelligent Enterprise is necessary for all customers who have deployed Intelligent Enterprise Update 3 with build 11.1.0300.0198.
The affected build 11.1.0300.0198 was made available on the download site on 09/12/2019. If you downloaded and installed Update 3 before 09/20/2019 then this patch needs to be applied. If you are unsure of the build number for your installation of Update 3, the current build number for the Intelligent Enterprise can be found in License Manager, under Installation History.
If you have installed build 11.1.0300.0199 (Release Date: 09/20/2019) then you do not need to apply this patch.

SOLUTION:

The patch corrects a critical metadata inconsistency issue caused by deletion of Documents and Dossiers that were previously copied/saved as duplicates.

Strategy Intelligence Server Installation Instructions

This patch should be applied on Strategy 11.1.3 (Build 11.1.0300.0198).
1. Stop Strategy Intelligence Server in all cluster nodes.
2. Search for the files changed (below) in the target machine and create a backup of these files in all cluster nodes.
3. Copy the patched version of the file to the original location in all cluster nodes.
4. Restart Strategy Intelligence Server in all cluster nodes.

1. Close any open Strategy Applications
2. If the machine also has an installation of Strategy Intelligence Server, stop the server
3. Search for the files changed (below) in the target machine and backup these files

5. Restart Strategy Applications and / or Strategy Intelligence Server
