Strategy One (June 2025) Boundary Feature Layers for ESRI Map Updates and Plugin

Starting in November 2025, Strategy will upgrade two built-in boundary feature layers in the map configuration. The upgrade improves data coverage and ensures boundary information is up to date. However, there are important breaking changes, especially if you are using existing datasets. The following article corresponds with the existing documentation topic to deliver attachments required to address this change.

Mitigation Steps

To update your warehouse data to seamlessly transition to the latest endpoint for U.S. Countries according to the standards attached in the USA County Name Excel file.

Configure Custom County KML Files for ESRI Map Visualization

Download the Prepared Plugin

Download the attached ConnectorForMap.zip file for preconfigured files.
Unzip the download file and put it in the ConnectorForMap folder under your ESRI Map plug-in's folder. You can find the ESRI map plug-in folder path in one of the following locations:
1. <Tomcat install folder>\webapps\MicroStrategy\plugins
2. <Tomcat install folder>\webapps\MicroStrategyLibrary\plugins

Replace the Default Endpoint with the New KML File

If you are optionally replacing the default endpoint with the new KML file, see the attached esriConfig.xml file for an example modified configuration.
