• Strategy

This issue has been classified as a defect by MicroStrategy. The impact is limited to error in DSSErrors.log. A code fix for this issue is not available in current releases but is being reviewed for a future MicroStrategy release.

Symptom

Below error is noticed in DSSErrors.log though data load is successful in Strategy Enterprise Manager. This issue is seen only when running a data load against an Enterprise Manager Warehouse on a Teradata database.

Syntax error: expected something between ')' and the 'from' keyword. Connection String: DSN=mstr_statistics;UID=Strategy;. SQL Statement: select cast(cast(EM_TIME as format 'YYYY-MM-DDBHH:MI:SS') from EM_LOG order by em_time desc.

LIST PROPERTIES FOR LAST DATA LOAD shows Progress as -2, which means that the data load was successful.

Cause

This error is seen because of the incorrect syntax of the SQL statement seen in the error message above.

Action

Since the error above does not impact the data load and the data load is successful, there is no additional action that is required.
