This document shows the issue that table structure could not be updated in Warehouse Catalog after switching warehouse in database instance. This issue is caused by old name space stored in table definition. Updating name space in table definition could resolve the issue.
"The table 'XXX' was not found in the Warehouse Catalog. Therefore, the table structure cannot be read or updated" error message appears when attempting to update table structure in Warehouse Catalog after switching warehouse in Strategy Developer 9.x and above.

One possible cause is that name space in table definition is still the old one. If moving the table from the right section to the left in Warehouse Catalog, TEST1 still shows USER1 as name space. Warehouse Catalog could not find the target table in new Warehouse with the old name space.
Follow tech note below to update the name space in table definition:
KB199722: Name space of tables in primary database instance for a project cannot be updated even though "Ignore current table name space..." option is enabled in Warehouse Catalog in MicroStrategy Desktop 9.3.1
