KB322956: Setting the Drill options to "Allow simple drill only" does not disable the System Hierarchy option from the drilling context menu on a Report Services document in Presentation Mode in MicroStrategy Web 10.4 - 10.6.

SYMPTOM:
In Strategy Web 9.4.x, users that have setup a report with a custom drill map can disable the System Hierarchy to prevent users from drilling outside of the drill map. In order to do that, they can follow the instructions in article KB36208: How to disable the System Hierarchy option while drilling on a Report Services document using a drill map that contains templates in MicroStrategy Web 10.x . However, in Strategy Web 10.4 - 10.6., users realize that after following those steps, and enabling “Allow simple drill only” under the Strategy Web Preferences > Project Defaults > Drill Mode preferences, the System Hierarchy option still appears in the drill-to context menu, as shown below:

 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Follow these steps to reproduce the issue in a Strategy Tutorial Project.
From Strategy Developer 10.4

• Create a template with the Year, Region, Call Center attributes and the Profit metric.
• Create a report with the Year and Region attributes and the Revenue Metric.
• For the report created in step 2, create a drill map by going to the Data Menu, select edit drill map, and the Drill map editor GUI will open.
• From the items on the left under "Origin", highlight the "Year" attribute, as shown below:
   

• In the "Drill Map" section, click the "Template" button, from there select the template created in step 1, as shown below:
    

• On the right pane, in the "Properties" section, set the priority to High, as shown below:
  

• Click OK and save the Report.

From Strategy Web 10.4 - 10.6:

• Set the Strategy Web preferences for Project Defaults > Drill Mode to "Allow simple drill only" as shown in the image below:
   

• Create a document that uses the report created earlier as a dataset.
• Run the document in presentation mode, notice that the System Hierarchy option in the drill-to context menu is still shown, as below:
  

 
CAUSE:
This is an identified defect in Strategy Web 10.4 - 10.6.
 
ACTION:
This issue has been addressed in Strategy Web 10.7. Upgrade to take advantage of this issue.
