Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
SYMPTOM:
As explained in KB207444, when a user specifies a value for a selector on a Report Services Document, this value is not persisted when the user navigates away from the source document. Thus, next time the document is opened, the selection for the selector will be reset to the default value. However, it is possible to persist this type of selection in Strategy iOS application 9.4.1 Update 4 and above using Strategy Mobile SDK.
When this feature is enabled, the user observes that the data displayed in the mobile document is not refreshed even though the data source, like an Intelligent Cube, is updated.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
CAUSE:
This behavior is by design. Currently there is no way to delete all the cached data on a mobile session once you turn on persist selections, not for the current dashboard.
In KB207444 we find that:
After the persistselections flag is enabled, the application will now save the selector’s selection to cache whenever the user navigates away from the document i.e:
Afterwards, when the document is opened again, the selector’s current selection will be set to the saved value.
Note: The saved selector value will be cleared if the user closes / backgrounds the application with "Clear on Close" enabled.
What this literally means is that we are saving the current selection to a cache that, subsequently, we will always be hit unless we close the mobile app as explained in KB34633. There is no way to re-execute and get updated data while the application is still live.
ACTION:
On the Dossiers model, each users selections are saved on a per user basis and synchronized across devices.
WORKAROUND:
There is no workaround available. The only possible solution is to kill the Mobile App or disabling the Persist Selection parameter
