KB44990: Is it possible to keep track of users’ activities on exporting reports and documents as HTML?

Community Admin

• Strategy

As KB20705 describes, starting from MicroStrategy Enterprise Manager, MicroStrategy provides an ability to track export jobs initiated from MicroStrategy Web. As the list of indicator depicts in the technical note, however, a non-zero value will not be inserted into the EXPORTINDIC column when exporting reports or documents as HTML.

SYMPTOM:
As KB20705  describes, starting from Strategy Enterprise Manager 9.0.0, Strategy provides an ability to track export jobs initiated from Strategy Web.
As the list of indicator depicts in the technical note, however, a non-zero value will not be inserted into the EXPORTINDIC column when exporting reports or documents as HTML. Hence, currently it is not possible to keep track of users’ activities on exporting reports or documents as HTML.
CAUSE:
This is a current limitation of Strategy Enterprise Manager 9.x.
ACTION:
An enhancement request has been logged to insert a non-zero value into the EXPORTINDIC column when users export reports or documents as HTML. Strategy will continue to investigate and post updates as soon as they are available.
