In a MicroStrategy Intelligence Server cluster environment, Intelligent cubes don’t load on remote nodes when the node which published the Intelligent cube has been shut down normally, and cube based reports can’t be run.

SYMPTOM:
In a Strategy Intelligence Server cluster environment, Intelligent cubes don’t load on remote nodes when the node which published the Intelligent cube has been shut down normally, and cube based reports can’t be run
 
REPRODUCING STEPS IN TUTORIAL PROJECT:
     1.    Create and publish Intelligent cube called “Cube” and  “Cube3” on node A. And create two cube based report call “cube report” and “cube report 3” separately.

     2.    Create and publish Intelligent cube called “Cube2” on node B. And create one Cube based report called “cube report 2”.

     3.    Navigate to Administrator -> System monitor -> Cube monitor both nodes, and check all cube are “active, load, file” status.
     4.    Shut down Intelligent Server node A with command ./mstrctl -s IntelligenceServer stop
     5.    Navigate to Administrator -> System monitor -> Cube monitor on node B, “Cube” and “Cube3” are not shown.

     6.    Run cube based report “cube report 3”, Message are shown that those cube need to publish.

The Intelligence Cube “Cube 3- Brand Item, cost” for locale
<English (United States)>has not been published. The Intelligent
Cube must be published before this report can execute.

 
 
CAUSE:
This is working as designed.
This issue doesn’t happen whith Intelligent server abnormal termination.
 
ACTION:
The Intelligence Server can be configured to keep the clustered resources in the surviving Intelligence Server cluster even if the node is shutdown normally.
Refer to Technical Document below for how to implement the cluster maintenance mode.
