KB487060: It keeps loading and never finish when creating a Migration Package based on Bot or Dashboard from MicroStrategy Workstation.

Symptom

From Workstation, when creating an object migration package and adding some objects, like Bot or Dashboard, it keeps loading and never finish. No error pops up from the window.

Cause

The request is stuck in below API which is trying to retrieve the display name of the object owner:
POST /StrategyLibrarySTD/api/objects/bulkRead?browserInfoOnly=true
The root cause is that there are two users who are each other’s owner, which is unexpected and caused the recurse indefinitely to retrieve the owner.

Solution

The affected users can be retrieved from Fiddler trace, and correct the owner of the user or update the ownership of the user.
