Strategy One Enterprise Manager contains data dimension tables that are used for various things, including data loading. When using Teradata as an Enterprise Manager Warehouse with no partition tables, you are unable to use dates that go beyond January 31, 2020. You can refer to KB484050 to extend the data dimension tables from year 2020 to year 2025. However you are still unable to use dates that go beyond December 31, 2025 even with the workaround in KB484050. In this case, you receive the following error message:
[CDATA[java.sql.SQLException: Execute Query failed. Error type: Odbc error. Odbc operation attempted: SQLExecDirect. [HY000:-5728: on SQLHANDLE] [Teradata][ODBC Teradata Driver][Teradata Database](-5728)SP_IS_SESSION:Partitioning violation for table XXXXXX.IS_SESSION.]]
Use the following scripts to update the partition tables and/or data dimension tables according to your environment.
Note: Please make a backup of the Enterprise Manager Warehouse before running the scripts:
Note: No partition tables exist for MySQL based Enterprise Manager, therefore, the tables do not need to be extended; however, they still need to be updated as partition versus dimension.
Note: The scripts extend the partition tables through December 31, 2028. This aligns with our strategy that marks the End of Support (EOS) for MEP. For more information on the EOS of MEP, please refer to our Technical Support News Letter.
