KB442471: Dossier Performance: Push-down Dossier Performance - Derived Attributes for live connection cubes

Community Admin

• Strategy

Prior to 10.11 Derived Attributes for “Connect Live” cubes were always evaluated in memory. Starting 10.11 the derived attributes are now evaluated at the source when all the required columns come from the same table, which covers the majority of the use cases.

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
This feature supports more Big Data scenarios where moving large amounts of data to memory is not practical. Time-derived columns such as “Month of timestamp” or “Day of timestamp” and other out of the box time-based derived attributes are now calculated at the source. This feature also supports multiple attribute forms.

To implement this behavior in your dossier, enable the feature flag. For details, see KB442250: Always calculate derived attribute at source for Live Intelligent Cube datasets.
