The only available options are:

  • Manually select users that need to be deleted. This can be done with the assistance of the search function.
  • Associate Badge with an Identity Manager like Microsoft Active Directory, OpenLDAP, or Okta Universal Directory where the administrator can synchronize the users with the Identity Manager tools.
  • Disable users in the Strategy environment, similar to how it is described in KB19497: How to temporarily disable all user accounts in MicroStrategy 9.x

Solution

Use a CSV file to update the login field for the users that need to be deleted with a common word such as "invalid.". Then, use that word on the search in Identity Manager to select the users to be deleted.

  • Create a CSV file of the users you want to delete. Update the username of the users that need to be deleted with a common term such as "invalid." Make sure the email address you enter is the same one used in Identity Manager. If the system does not match the email, it creates a new user. However, since the username "invalid" does not exist the system, it is deleted in the following steps.

  • Go to Identity Manager > User Management.

  • Click Overwrite.
