SYMPTOM:
A subscription created with an attribute element prompt answer cannot be edited after the source attribute is changed and the embedded prompt is edited.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Create an attribute with DESC form only. In this example, CATEGORY_DESC column in LU_CATEGORY is mapped to this attribute form as shown below:

2. Create a report using this attribute in the grid as well as in Attribute Element Prompt.

3. Create a subscription with personalization. In this example, CategoryTest = Book.

4. Go back to Strategy Developer and edit the attribute to add ID form. In this example, ID form is mapped to CATEGORY_ID column of LU_CATEGORY table, and "Set as key."

5. After that, notice that the report cannot be executed due to the following error:
Error: Unable to resolve prompt.

(Note: This error is expected because the attribute form set as a key has changed, with which, SQL to load attribute element is no longer valid.)
6. Open the report is design view and delete the prompt and create a new attribute qualification prompt.

7. With the newly defined prompt, the report can be now executed.
8. Go to Strategy Web, and try edit the subscription created at step 3 and notice following error:

Invalid element value 'Book' for attribute 'CategoryTest' (form ''). Expected value type is numeric.)
Your request could not be processed due to a server error. Please try again. If the problem persists, contact the server Administrator.
CAUSE:
This behavior is working as designed. A subscription is defined with a prompt answer, and it is not possible to load the prompt where the attribute key is updated to a different data type.
ACTION:
Create a new subscription with the altered prompt and the answer/personalization to it.
