KB484415: Web Services URL is not retained every time after restarting Excel and launching to the MicroStrategy Office 2020 add-in

Description

When you enter a new Web Services URL in the Strategy for Office add-in, the changes are not retained. If you reopen Excel to access the add-in, the Web Services URL is still the prior value.

Steps to reproduce

1. In Excel, launch the Strategy for Office add-in.
2. Click Options > General > Server.
3. Enter a new Web Services URL.
4. Close and then reopen Excel to access the plug-in. Notice that the new Web Services URL is not retained.

Why is this happening?

This is a known issue which occurs in Strategy for Office 2020 and later versions. 

Workaround 

Set the Web Services URL via the Registry Editor. For steps and more information, see KB483066: Unable to permanently replace Web Service URL in MicroStrategy Office. The registry key must be modified manually on the Office client machine.
